Chama Capital partners with Founders First to award $100,000 to Chicago businesses

Chama Capital has partnered with Founders First CDC to award $100,000 in grant funding to 25 diverse-led businesses in Chicago.

Now in its third year, the Chicago Job Creators Quest Grant provides grants between $2,500 and $10,000 to small businesses led by diverse founders who are creating premium wage jobs. This year, the program was expanded to include businesses across the state of Illinois.

On March 9th, the 25 finalists were announced at a virtual press event where our Founder & CEO, Christine Saffold, was a featured speaker.

“We’re thrilled to collaborate with Founders First CDC once again to support diverse small business owners in the state of Illinois,” said Christine Saffold, Founder & CEO of Chama Capital.

“Given that women entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs of color in Chicago have faced systemic barriers and challenges in securing funding, it’s essential to support organizations like Founders First that offer valuable resources and growth opportunities to small business owners who have been underserved in our community.”
